Why is my domain under ServerHold Status?

A ‘ServerHold’ status is an Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP), also known as domain name status code. It is set by the domain’s registry operator and indicates that action is required to resolve an issue with the registration. Your domain will not be active in the DNS while set to this status code. You may be able to find the reason regarding why your domain is under ‘ServerHold’ by matching your domain extension to list below;

.Tech, .Press, .Site, .Space, .Store, .Online, .Website, .Fun, and .host;

The domain extensions listed above are operated by the registry Radix. As a registry, they are committed to the stable and secure operation of its TLDs. As such, they provide a suspended/ServerHold Domain lookup tool which can be accessed here.

If your domain is suspended by Radix, this lookup tool will give you information and how you can get it unsuspended. You can see a full copy of their Acceptable Use and Anti-Abuse policy.

.Club

The registry for .club is committed to the stable and secure operations of its TLD. If your domain has been placed under ‘ServerHold’ and violates the .Club Anti Spam and Abuse Policies listed, you will need to contact them directly by filling out the abuse form listed here.

.XYZ, .College, .Rent, .Security, .Protection, .Theatre, .Car, .Cars, .Auto, .Storage, .Baby, and .Monster;

The domain extensions listed above are operated by the registry XYZ, which has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of domain name abuse, including unsolicited email marketing, malware, phishing sites, and other illegal activities. For more details, view their XYZ Anti-Abuse Policy. If your domain has been flagged for violating their anti-abuse policies, you may check on the status of your domain(s) by using their unsuspension tool.

.XXX

When registering a domain, some TLDs have specific requirements. For .XXX you are required to verify your part of the adult community through the registry. A Token is required to active the domain. You will need to ensure that you have completed all 8 steps as listed on the Membership Application Process.
